Christina Applegate is currently featured in the December 2008 issue of L.A. Confidential Magazine. She opens up about many aspects of her life, most importantly her battle with Cancer.

LAC: You’ve been so brave and open about dealing with breast cancer, and already you’ve helped so many people. But has it been difficult for you? Have you wished you had more privacy with it?

CA: Well, there are two sides to it. One side is that this came into my life for whatever reason, but I can use it as an opportunity to help people. That’s the blessing in it and that’s the best part. It gave me a lot of fire. But it’s hard to talk about it in front of the world. I am a very, very, very private person, and I don’t talk about what hurts me, what pains me. I don’t talk about the tragedies in my life. I find that if you’re in the public eye you have to preserve yourself or you’ll lose all sense of yourself. But if I didn’t say, “Hey, this sucks and this hurts,” I’m not allowing other women to just relax into it. We sometimes feel like we have to be these warriors, and as the patients we end up being the caretakers for the people around us a lot of the time. One of the survivors I met through all this said, “If you can’t admit that this sucks, I can’t even talk to you, because the truth of the matter is: Some of this sucks.” But it’s also something we can get over, take control of, and move on from.

Britney Spears Is A Glamour Girl

Britney Spears opens up about the past year In January's Glamour magazine- "it has been a hell of a year for me," she says - her new album Circus and her future.

Recording Circus - which drops Tuesday on her 27th birthday - "has helped take my mind off certain things," she says. "For me, my music is therapy."

The star - who made her first live performance Wednesday in Germany since her 2007 MTV Video Music Awards
disaster - is feelin' the love these days.

"When I received the awards and the audience stood for me, it showed me how much love is out there," says Spears, who swept the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.

Britney, who was notorious for hitting Hollywood hot spots with no underwear for awhile, says her life has become a lot calmer these days.

"I don't like going out. I hate clubs. I hate being around too many people," the singer tells Glamour. "I love my home and staying in my bed and watching Dancing With the Stars or reading a Danielle Steel novel. I'm kind of boring."

On her post-babies body, Spears says, "My body... completely changed [after giving birth], and I have had to work hard at getting it back."

Britney Spears in Rolling Stone Magazine

Britney Spears is featured on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine’s December 2008 issue under the headline that read, “Yes She Can! Britney Returns.” She is photographed baring her pierced belly in a gray top and jeans, donning thin make-up, and smiling to the camera.

In an interview featured inside, Britney talks about several personal issues, like losing custody of her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, and getting herself back on the right track, personally and professionally, following her emotional breakdown earlier this year. She, moreover, also talks about her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

Talking about her sons and their father, Britney tells Rolling Stone that her young boys “are starting to learn words like ’stupid,’ and Preston says the f-word now sometimes. He doesn’t get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids.” Not complaining even further, she goes on talking about her nowadays life, admitting she is living a very different life than the one she used to have years before.

“I feel like an old person now,” Britney claims, explaining, “I go to bed at, like, 9:30 every night, and I don’t go out or anything.” For the full interview, people can pick the December issue of Rolling Stone, out on newsstands Friday, November 28.
