Cameron Diaz gets candid and opens up about growing, her future and her favourite city in the world in the new issue of W magazine.

Cameron on whether she dreamed of being an actress when she was a kid: “Oh, no. I wanted to be a zoologist, to study the sociology of animals. But that’s pretty much what I do now anyway. I thought I’d be on the plains of Africa watching lions, but instead I’m in Hollywood watching train wrecks.” And then she busts out laughing and adds hastily, “I’m just kidding.”

Cameron on her futuer goals: “Just kind of taking more time getting to know myself. It sounds so corny that I can’t believe I even just said that, but, you know, there comes a time when you really have to get to know who you are…I’ve just been figuring out what interests me and spending time with people who are important to me and being present in my own life.”

Cameron on Las Vegas: “I looooove Vegas. It’s such an easy trip from L.A., and there’s always a hotel room because there’s about a billion of them, but honestly, you don’t even really need one if you’re just going for the weekend!”

Cate Blanchett Sexy In Wet White

Cate Blanchett has revealed her decade of travelling the world making films is coming to an end because her children need to settled down.

Up to now, five year old Dashiell (known as Dash) and three year old Roman have travelled with mum, attending Montessori nurseries wherever she was filming and also visiting her on her film sets. But, she now believes it’s time for “her sweet-smelling little dumplings” to settle down.

She told W magazine that Dash needs to attend “a proper school”: “He’s five now. He needs to be settled, and I need to respect that.”

She and husband Andrew Upton have decided to settle in her native Australia, where, from January for three years, they will be co-artistic directors of the Sydney Theatre Company.

But in addition to overseeing the company’s 12 actors, education arm and dozen productions a year, she hasn’t ruled out also having more children during that time: “We’re not going to wait forever. God, I’d love it to be now. I’d love it to be next week.”

In the accompanying article (never mind that other headline about “The Real L Word”; you’ll hear all about that in this week’s Best. Lesbian. Week. Ever.), Cate talks about her initial reluctance to revisit her royal role.

“When [director Shekhar Kapur] mentioned it to me before, I always said no. Why would I want to do that? What else is there to say?” she says. This script, however, which finds the Queen at mid-reign, single and childless, struck a chord. “I started thinking about what supposed ‘middle age’ means and the really modern concern that women have about infertility and the loss of one’s attractiveness.”

As The Golden Age prepares to hit theaters, there is already talk of a third film. Kapur has said that he always envisioned the Elizabeth story as a trilogy. Cate hasn’t committed to a threequel, but conceded that there is certainly enough source material for another film.

“There are endless possibilities with Elizabeth ... And I think there will be a lot more Elizabeth [films] because she’s endlessly fascinating.”

I love America, and I'm an American through and through,” Gwyneth told W. “But the conservative media won't let it go.... People love to give you a moniker and then, you know, they've designed this hole for you that you have to fit in."

Victoria and David Beckham, aka Posh and Becks, strip down in steamy photos for the August issue of W magazine. They strike a sultry pose for the cover of the issue, on newsstands July 20, but things get more seductive in a photo spread inside.

Steven Klein's photos show the pair in various states of undress — kissing passionately, sunning themselves atop a car and having an intimate moment in the bedroom.

The 32-year-old soccer star and his wife, Posh Spice of the Spice Girls, will be seen in an NBC special, "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America," to air Monday. It follows Beckham, 33, as she prepares to move from Europe to Los Angeles, where her husband will play for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. (David Beckham appears briefly in the special, but viewers won't see the couple's three sons.)

"I think people are really going to see me for the first time," Victoria Beckham tells the magazine. "I think they have this impression that I'm this miserable cow who doesn't smile. But I'm actually quite the opposite."
